David Gerrold made his professional debut with the original STAR TREK teleplay, "The Trouble With Tribbles." An early story editor for STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION, he also wrote many other episodes for BABYLON 5, LAND OF THE LOST, and SLIDERS. His novels include the first contact novel THE FLYING SORCERERS (written in collaboration with Larry Niven), the sentient-computer novel WHEN HARLIE WAS ONE (1972, which first coined the phrase "computer virus") , and the time travel novel THE MAN WHO FOLDED HIMSELF. David won a Nebula for his novella "The Martian Child," an autobiographical piece about a science fiction writer who adopts a troubled boy; later expanded to a novel, it was the basis of the movie with the same name. David's three continuing series are the STAR WOLF series of space-war novels, the Dingilliad series of young-adult novels that include JUMPING OFF THE PLANET, and his complex, exciting multi-volume WAR AGAINST THE CHTORR series -- which "ended" in a cliffhanger at the end of A SEASON FOR SLAUGHTER in 1992, but is according to David headed for continuation sometime soon.

What happens when an astronaut who's spent years looking for extraterrestrial life is upstaged by a first day rookie?

Find out the answer in the "Perfect Planet". Watch the movie on a 53 inch wide screen and then listen to Writer/Director, Brandon Kaplan, about his experiences on making this film.

Brandon Kaplan, a director since preschool Brandon has been known to color outside the lines. An artist at heart, filmmaking has become his medium of choice. The left side of his brain is also happy – he loves the math involved in making a film.

After completing his thesis film at UCF, he moved to L.A. to work on science fiction and horror films. He worked with Charles Band (director of The Puppet Master). His films include: The Perfect Planet (writer/director/DP/editor - HD short), Bad Reception (writer/director/animator - stop-motion animated short), Bad Tomatoes (writer/director), and has worked in the art department and camera department on these features and TV shows: Creepshow III, Drive Thru, Doll Graveyard, and Saurian.

Recently Brandon moved back to Florida and is in the midst of writing/directing a feature, and of course is always interested in working with other filmmakers on their projects too.
