Moon:

While the 2010 Oscars could have been the coming out party for speculative fiction film with nominees like Avatar and District 9, some felt that the Academy still has no clue what real science fiction film is.

Especially with the lack of nods for Moon and it's main star Sam Rockwell.

Called an homage to the "thinking man's" scifi films of the 70s, such as 2001 and Silent Running, Moon is a wonderful film that showcases Rockwell's talents while Kevin Spacey's mainframe character, Gerty, will give HAL a run for his money.

Out soon, rent this and you'll see that Hollywood still doesn't have a clue.
